Hongcheon (Hongcheon-gun) is a county in Gangwon Province, South Korea. It is the birthplace of historic general Choi Yeong of Goryeo. It is also the birthplace of Lee Young-Pyo, who plays for the South Korea national football team. He also plays for Al-Hilal F.C. of Saudi Arabia.
